LASER member and MRC Fellow Dr Emanuelle Giorgi is convening a special 2-day international workshop to focus on the challenges and advances being made in disease mapping in low and middle-income counties.
Hosted by Lancaster University on 14 - 15 September 2017, the multidisciplinary workshop will bring together international statistics and epidemiology experts to discuss the mapping of a wide range of diseases including neglected tropical diseases and malaria.
Topics of particular interest are:
- Model-based geostatistics
- Ecological disease mapping
- Small-area estimation
- Historical mapping of infectious diseases
- Integrating multiple data-sources
The workshop is currently inviting researchers to submit poster abstracts which can be presented during the workshop.
