In developing this Atlas we sought to meet a specific need for accurate and up-to-date maps of helminth distribution by capitalizing on a largely untapped resource, in the form of data from thousands of field surveys.
The inspiration for this project goes back to the work of Dr. Norman Stoll in the 1940s. Making these ideas a reality has required collaboration with a range of partners and establishing a small team at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and the Partnership for Child Development at Imperial College London.
